The Pool: A New Way of Giving

The Project

charity: water has a unique funding model: 100% of public donations go to the field for water projects, so all operations costs are covered by a unique group of generous individuals, The Well. In an effort to diversify how individuals could contribute to our operating costs, charity: water launched The Pool–a first-of-it’s-kind giving experience where donors pledge equity. I was tasked with creating a visual identity and initial suite of content for the new program.

Branding

Members of the charity: water team involved with the creation of The Pool program wanted the look-and-feel to emulate the refinement of community, innovation and Because The Pool is a more innovative and contemporary concept, the mark takes a clean geometric direction. The mark symbolize the idea of community and connection, while also having the inner circle representing The Pool itself–the intersection that contains/is created by the contributions of the group. The mark can be used with or without the P, and standalone or as a pattern.
